Getting summer fit is easier than you make think if you have a trainer like Peter Morgese to motivate you.  Peter is this month’s featured pictorial for Fuerte Men (we wanted to offer our readers some obvious eye candy along with informative tips for getting beach body ready).  This Yonkers, New York native is a trainer at Crunch Fitness Chelsea NYC and says he uses various fitness methodologies to inspire his clients.

“Number one, I listen to my clients and try to understand their goals,” said Peter.  “That way we can work together at developing an effective strategy to achieve maximum results in the time that is allotted. “

 For this article, we wanted to help our readers get beach body ready.  Ok, not all of us are going to throw on the speedo trunks or a two-piece bikini for you girls that are reading this.  But we do want you to be as confident as you can when it comes to your physique.   After all, it is just the beginning of May, which means you got the possibility of an entire month to do as much body improvement as possible.

“It is important for me to emphasize that you can’t compare yourself to others – we all have different body types, metabolisms, genetic makeup, daily routines, and habits,” said Peter.  “What I can offer you is the knowledge to help you be the better person; the healthier you so to speak.”

BUILT FOR FITNESS

It is easy to see why the camera lingers on Fuerte Men model Pete Moya.  His sizzling Latino charms make this New Jersey native a perfect fit as this month’s featured model.  Pete, a personal trainer in Secaucus, tells us he is passionate about helping individuals achieve their fitness and wellness goals.  The 23 year-old wants to use his fitness knowledge to catapult his modeling career.

“When I train my clients, I encourage them to be disciplined and flexible in their fitness strategies,” said Pete.  “I want to apply the same strategy to my modeling career and work with photographers and agencies that are progressive and adaptable to not only trends, but to classic photographic appeal,” added Pete. 

Pete’s pictorial was shot in Secaucus, New Jersey at a state park and indoor studio.  Creatively, we wanted to capture Pete’ natural athletic characteristics and compliment them with the simplicity of his handsome looks. 

“I listen to what the photographer tells me and their interpretation of what the end result should be.  Working with Fuerte Men was a learning experience on so many levels,” added Pete.

A DISCOVERY OF STRENGTH

We met Fuerte Men model Kelvin Cabrera in Secaucus, New Jersey about 5 months ago.  Kelvin, a personal trainer and health facilitator, quickly illustrated that his passion is helping people achieve their top physical wellness.  The 27 year-old says he wants to balance the start of his modeling career with a fitness platform. 

“I want to continue to learn and progress in the modeling industry and also tap into my health and physical education background to combine the two and excel in both,” said Kelvin.

Kelvin says his Hispanic heritage keeps him grounded to some very rich foods, but he tries to incorporate balance and restraint.

“Nutrition is very important to me and I try to instill this with my clients at the gym,” said Kelvin.  “I try to stay away from fried foods and eat a little simpler – its not always easy, but I try to remain consistent.”

The Fuerte Men photo shoot was Kelvin’s first LGBT modeling project.   As a heterosexual male, Kelvin said the experience was just like any other project.

We met up with 45 year-old Rick Santomero just outside of New York City to create a series of images that would help us escape the norm of everyday life.  We wanted to create visions that would dare to make you look twice – not necessarily for suggestiveness, but for the ability to evoke a sense of dark style and strength. 

“I really enjoyed working with Fuerte Men,” said Rick Santomero.  “I’m in a conservative business environment on a day to day basis, so having the opportunity to create images that showcase a different style or personality enticed me.”

We discovered 23 year-old Emanuel Cruz in the New York City region.   He is an aspiring model with a personality that is bigger than his muscled physique.  We proudly feature Emanuel as one of our Fuerte Men models, not only for his chiseled charms, but for his humanitarian personality and heart.

“He is a true professional and on the path to a stellar career in the male modeling industry,” said Sidney Alvarez, Fuerte Men Publisher.   “He has an uncanny ability to call upon emotions from within and create stunning images – I’m very proud of him,” Alvarez added.

MIGUEL CARRERA MAKES HIS OWN PATH

When 21 year-old Miguel Carrera walks into the room, people notice and smile.  You can’t help but feel his positive energy and an eagerness to create.  This Jersey native is on the path to success in the male modeling industry.  

His determination is coupled with his abilities to shift emotions and characters for every casting or photo-spread.  Fuerte Men first caught up with Miguel in the fall of 2012, but it wasn’t until this year that we were able to catch up with him and coordinate a pictorial. 

His professionalism and excitement to tackle the conceptual ideas for our project was easily demonstrated.   His non-judgmental personality also shined as his approach to shooting for an LGBT project wasn’t waivered as a heterosexual male.  (Yes, ladies, he is straight).
