American beefcake actor Channing Tatum isn’t backing down from his past days as a stripper. His much-anticipated SNL debut showcased him poking fun of his dancing days. Tatum is also set to star in the upcoming Steven Soderbergh movie called Magic Mike, a full-monty comedy about Tatum’s own experiences as a stripper.
The movie is loosely based on Tatum's days as teenage stripper in a Tampa nightclub in the 1990’s. His stage name was Chan Crawford. This was before Tatum danced in the Ricky Martin music video ‘She Bangs,’ and eventually landed his first acting job on CSI: Miami in 2004.
The 31 year-old actor toyed with audience members in his SNL opening monologue before ripping his shirt open. Magic Mike is set to release later this year. Watch the video below of a very young Tatum performing (stripping).
